Welcome to ShelfieBooks. By downloading or using the ShelfieBooks app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About ShelfieBooks

ShelfieBooks is a mobile application that helps you save, organise, and track books you want to read or purchase. The app is free to use. We earn a small affiliate commission when you purchase books through links in the app, at no extra cost to you.

To use ShelfieBooks, you must create an account using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID. You are responsible for:

ShelfieBooks includes affiliate links to retailers including Amazon, Audible, Bookshop.org, Mighty Ape, and Booktopia. When you tap a buy button and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. This does not affect the price you pay. We only link to books that are genuinely relevant to your library.

5. Intellectual Property

The ShelfieBooks app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by ShelfieBooks. Book cover images and metadata are sourced from the Google Books API and remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

ShelfieBooks is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or that book information will always be accurate or complete.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShelfieBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at sicasford@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your personal data and library will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of ShelfieBooks after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved under New Zealand jurisdiction.
